Our Philosophy

Footwear without a footprint

Have you ever slipped on a sustainably made shoe and wondered, “Why does doing the right thing have to be so uncomfortable?” Well, we’re here to change that. We whole-heartedly believe that all footwear should be designed with the planet – and the wearer’s comfort – in mind. And these two things shouldn’t be mutually exclusive.

Recycled material ground up

Doing it differently since the beginning

Before our brand was born, the Zherys team worked as footwear designers for some of the world’s most well-known shoe brands. But these big brands weren’t ready to invest in sustainably made shoes. It was too expensive. Too challenging. And not profitable. So, instead of throwing in the towel, our Founder and CEO, Angelo, decided to go out on his own and do things the right way.

Our Story

Small steps make a big difference

100% Recycled Outsole and Insole

Waste not. Outsoles made with 90% zero-waste recycled rubber. Insoles made of TPU using bio-based oil (corn). And liners made with a plastic-knit upper from 100% recycled plastic bottles.

Packaging Done the Right Way

No unnecessary extras. No harmful chemical, dyes, or adhesives used in the packaging. The box, shoe form, and wrapping paper are made with 100% recycled materials. Plus, the product box doubles as the shipping container.

Better Factories, Better Treatment

Kinder for the planet, kinder for our people. We’re partnered with top-rated factories that use less water, electricity, and energy. And we’ll only source from manufacturers that treat and pay their employees fairly across the supply chain.

Taking a stand for sustainability

We’re always thinking about the future, which means we’re always thinking about how Zherys can be greener, more comfortable, and better overall. We’re committed to continuous improvement and keeping up on what’s best for our customers and the planet. Currently, we’re working on building insoles with eco-friendly Bloom Algae foam along with exploring bamboo, sugar cane, and hemp as alternative materials.
